MISSION
The Artists Forum, Inc. (AF) is a New York State 501(c)3 not-for-profit, multi-arts service organization, specializing in events & media for artists. We produce an array of programs designed to educate and enhance the careers of the under-served artist - programs that help artists structure, sound business dealings, legally protect their interests, utilize new techniques and technologies, address healthcare needs, and provide accessible avenues to display their work.
Additionally, AF fosters networking, collaboration, and information exchange among the arts community and our members: musicians, writers, singers, actors, producers, dancers, filmmakers, visual artists, industry professionals and art enthusiasts.
SERVICE AGENDA: EVENTS & MEDIA FOR ARTISTS
AF's programming is designed to increase the business, legal, and technical savvy of the emerging artist. Our panels focus on career-influencing topics such as the latest techniques in marketing, copyright and intellectual property issues, agent dealings, internet distribution and additional concerns with new technologies - all of which enable artists to keep abreast of current trends and provide direct access to industry professionals for additional counsel.
Along with juried competitions, showcases, media programs developed to expose artists' work and ideas, AF further expands artists' opportunities by providing relaxed networking atmospheres necessary to solidify relationships for business building. Finally, AF seeks to support the practical, day-to-day needs of the artistic community by facilitating proactive mental and physical health initiatives for underinsured artists. We encourage artists and entertainment professionals of all genres to participate in AF programming to better address the needs of the under-served artist and for the enhancement of the community at-large. Please peruse our website for more details.
